What people are saying about us….
Hi Papa Clive and all of Circus Sensible. Thank you all so much for visiting us at Lent Rise School in Burnham on April 27th. Despite the weathers attempts to thwart the day, everyone had a great time and we have received many compliments on your shows! Thank you for helping make the schools 40th Birthday a huge success!! We hope to see you again in the future! Kindest regards to all - Lisa Pope, Lent Rise School, Buckinghamshire.
Mr Sensible was fantastic. The children were captivated and found his show amazing and hilarious! His methods of teaching the basics of scarf juggling and feather balacing ensured that all children succeeded and were engaged. The variety of equipment he brought was vast and the children really enjoyed the opportuinity to try so many different skills. A brilliant morning - thank you! - Jamie Chadwick, Boarshaw Primary School, Rochdale, Lancashire.
Hi Clive, thank you so much for yesterday. The children all had a fantastic time. It was lovely to see even the quietest of pupils become so animated and involved in your sessions. Also it was interesting to watch the 'cool' Year 6's drop their guards and throw themselves into the activities with such gusto! - Helen Courtney, Aldford Primary School, Chester.
Hi Clive, many thanks for coming over to Kelsall. It really was an excellent evening inspiring both the young people (and the leaders) with a great range of stuff to do. We all really appreciated the way you introduced each activity and got the young people engaged in having a go at something new. I know it has resulted in an outbreak of juggling in a number of households round the village. Many thanks and hope to catch up with you again soon. - Daniel Gaskarth, Kelsall Youth Club, Chester, Cheshire.
Hi Clive, I just wanted to say thank you for sending such inspiring tutors for the workshops at the school. We completed a pupil evaluation of the day and it was overwhelmingly positive - needless to say we will be booking you again next year. Thank you so much!
- Tanwen Fisk, Spalding High, Lincolnshire.
We had a fabulous day on Tuesday when Circus Sensible came to our school. All the children from Nursery to Year 6 were catered for and had a great time. The show was hilarious, the children and staff were active participants and even a show for the parents after school too. Will definitely book them again. Thank you very much for a fab day :-)
- Ali Forth, St Luke's School, Leeds, Yorkshire
Hi Clive, We just wanted to say a huge big thank you for yesterday. The children loved Obby ( sorry if spelt incorrectly) and he was really engaging and patient with us all. His enthusiasm was infectious. We used a different company last year and Circus Sensible were so much better.
Thanks so much.
- Simi Treanor, Earlsfield Primary School, Wandsworth, London.
Hi Clive, I just wanted to thank you for entertaining us at our Awards. We have had some very positive feedback and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a shame the weather put a dampener on things and I trust that all your party made it home safely. Thank you very much and we hope to work together again in the future.
- Lynn Cullen, Customer Involvement Officer, Bolton at Home
Dear Clive,
I would like to thank both Juan and yourself for a fantastic circus experience at our school. Despite appalling weather, Juan arrived and gave us an awesome demonstration to the school, before engaging in workshops all day. The sessions were well resourced and matched to all children's ability and confidence levels. His instructions and demonstrations made it really easy for everyone to understand and it was great to hear many children shout "Miss, I did it!" Thank you for a great experience, our school wouldn't hesitate to book you in the future and recommend you to other local schools.
- Lyndsey Thomas, Hardwick Community Primary School, Banbury, Oxon
Personally I thought it was a great session, relaxed and enjoyable, yet challenging. We'll definitely want you back again next January - it fitted our topic perfectly
- Pete Leonard, Carnarvon School, Nottingham
"Absolutely brilliant the children loved you as did the adults brilliant comments from everybody at Stanley house well done x"
Dear Clive, On behalf of the Variety At Work Committee, we would like to sincerely thank you for attending our Big Top party! Your contribution helped us to achieve so much and ensure the children and their carers who attended the party had a wonderful time. We are very grateful for your support and hope we work with you in the future.
- Glenda Shiner, Chairman of Variety at Work.
My apologies for the massive delay in getting round to writing this email - but I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the circus skills workshop your instructors put on for my Guides unit a few months ago.
The girls had a fantastic night, and over half of them have used their new found skills to complete their Circus Skills badges from home.
The instructors were brilliant with the girls, and everyone had a great time. Thanks again,
- Claire (and the 4th Muswell Hill Guides Unit)
Dear Clive, I would like to express my gratitude to all at Circus Sensible for the Fantastic day you gave everyone at Upton Priory. The children thoroughly enjoyed every second.
The children and their diabolo's have transformed playtimes, with the children happily sharing and teaching each other new tricks. It has given them a focus and activity during chill time. I cannot thank you enough for the entertainment and promotion of simple skills and basic fun Circus Sensible have introduced to the children. Thank you.
- Karen Powell, Chair of PTA, Upton Priory School, Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Thank you very much to you and your team for coming along to Denton Carnival Fun Day. We hope the team enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did, the Circus Workshop was a huge success and we thank you for working so hard.
- Sarah Collis, Arts, Event and Tourism Management, Tameside MBC
Just to say Friday was a great success; told Jay that, but wanted to let you know that we were very impressed, with his talents obviously but more importantly his enthusiasm and energy with the children!!
- Mark Brumwell, Headteacher, Sutton Bonington Primary School, Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Just a quick email to say a huge thank-you for the fantastic day provided by Circus Sensible. Quite simply, in the two weeks of various agencies providing activities at our summer school, your company has provided the gold standard by which all other agencies that work in school should be judged!
From the start of the booking to the finish today the service has been nothing short of exemplary and I am already looking for the opportunity to book this again.
- Roger Boulton, University Academy, Birkenhead
Again I would just like to thank your company for the great work you do with the children. Our Year 2 entry point to our circus themed topic was fantastic today because of the skills Neil taught them. All our children and staff had a great day. I look forward to working with you again in the future.
- Paul Wolstencroft-Moore, Assistant Head, Gwladys Street Primary and Nursery School, Mold.
I just wanted to pass on thanks from everyone for a fabulous day – lawyers are not the easiest people to please! We know we had a successful event because the kids didn’t want to leave!
Please thank the rest of your team for me – they were helpful, engaging and entertaining.
- Lisa Nwachukwu, Gates & Partners, London
I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know how much of a resounding success the session was last week.
The managers really enjoyed it and I'm confident that they are all juggling and entertaining customers, in the stores as I type! John was an absolute star ... he held everyone's attention and amazed them with his skills and ability as well as his patience!
- Nicola Gouldsbrough, Boost Juice Bars
Just a brief letter to say thank you for the input of your team into Activity Week at Bishop Heber. Could you please pass on our sincere thanks to Neil, who did an absolutely amazing job of both entertaining and instructing the pupils (and Staff!!) with his Circus Skills workshops on Monday.
The Year 9 pupils involved in the workshops really enjoyed themselves and took away some great memories of the day. They learnt some valuable and useful lessons and can hopefully put these to productive use in the future. There were very many positive feedback comments about the day, both from pupils and staff, who also enjoyed the activities.
Once again, thank you to you and Neil for your time and enthusiasm and we hope that you can be involved again in future years.
-Mrs G Gauterin, Bishop Heber High School, Malpas, Cheshire
Thank you so very much for a wonderful day and evening at St Paul's Primary School in Hereford. The children had a truly wonderful day and have been buzzing about it ever since. Please do pass our sincere thanks to the rest of your team; it was a real pleasure to have you all here for the day. I hope we will be in touch in the future for another booking.
- Rachel Read, Friends of St Paul's Primary School, Hereford
Hello Clive, I wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you for the circus entertainment that you provided for us on Friday. Jane and Klas were absolutely fantastic and we had some great feedback from our residents about them. They really did go down really well at the event so please could you pass on my thanks to them both.
I will be sure to keep your contact details on file in case we have a similar event in the future. Thanks again!
- Hayley Moore, Rosebery Housing Association, Epsom
A HUGE thank you to you all for the most amazing party yesterday. Everyone had a fabulous time & you all helped to make some very special memories thank you so much!!!
- Susie & the gang (after Hannah and Beckies joint 13th Birthday party with our Big Top)
In view of the weather as we speak, we were very lucky. Saturday was lovely and both your chaps were SO good. Very friendly and I didn't realise that we had so many small children in Enmore Green. It was a great success due to them. The rest of the weekend went well too so I am satisfied. People were taking photographs over the three days and if there are any of Circus Sensible I will forward them to you. Also happy to be a reference at any time.
- Jo Churchill, Enmore Green Jubilee Celebrations.
The show was fantastic and very funny. It is so nice to see a show that the adults can enjoy too!
- A parent, Merridale School, Wolverhampton
The children really enjoyed the Circus Day. Jay was very good and professional. He altered the way he taught the different groups to make it age appropriate. All of the children left having learnt how to perform a number of tricks and were still stunned by some of Jays tricks. We had one of our Leisure attendants joining in too showing the kids his card tricks and the other staff were joining in with the activities too.
- Michaela, Northern Ryedale Leisure Centre, Pickering, North Yorkshire
Just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic workshop last week. The girls were totally absorbed and you had them eating out of your hand. You really are one of a kind! You were fantastic with the children you had a tone that kept them involved but allowed them to have fun. You had their respect from the beginning. The best night in ages! Thank you and we hope to see you again soon.
- Diane (8th Bebington Brownies)
Just a short note to say just how much the children in my class have enjoyed the event. Many of the children overcame difficulties such as balance and co-ordination to achieve success. Your manner with the children was excellent, being funny, amusing and making the children strive for excellence. This has been one of the best days that the children have ever had (according to them- I can’t understand why they prefer your lessons rather than the literacy or maths lessons that I teach) Anyway, I have to say i have never laughed so much or been so proud of my bunch of children. They cannot stop talking about it. Here are some of the comments that they wrote down about their afternoon.
Stephen – I really enjoyed the feather balancing because i could balance it on my finger and i never thought i would be able to do. I almost balanced it on my nose as well.
Tyler – The peacock feather because it was cool to try and balance it.
Lucy – it was the best day of my life
Jessica – I enjoyed the Hoola hoop because i could not do it before – I also enjoyed seeing Mrs Aldread have a go – she did it and has never been able to do it before.
Sam – the space bouncer was best because it was so funny watching everybody
Kiera – Loved the stilts – I was so high and I did not fall off – I was so brave
Tyler – Diablo was best because I am very good it it now – I kelp practicing and eventually i managed to do it really good.
Leah – I thought the whole day was amazing and I liked the flower poles that you threw through the air.
Abi – the scarves because i was able to show to the rest of the class how good I was.
Thank you again it was a wonderful day.
- Debbie Aldread, Assistant Headteacher, Pilsley Primary School
Junior School pupils enjoyed fun packed circus skill sessions during a special event held as part of the School’s ‘Operation Playground Perfection’, which aims to generate new skills through play.
The skills aimed to develop coordination, concentration and balance and also help to refine motor skills.
Our pupils had a wonderful time trying out new activities. They learnt to juggle, spin plates, balance peacock feathers on their noses, Diabolo, walk on stilts, spin Chinese ribbons or 'unicycle' practice. The activities also included group work as they passed spinning plates to each other, demonstrating superb teamwork as they managed to keep the plate in the air. The days proved a great success and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience, with many now busy putting their new talents into practice.
Former pupil, Clive Poole, from Circus Sensible, found himself back at School for the first time since leaving.
- Cheadle Hulme School, Cheshire
Hi Clive! You came to my school yesterday (Holy family) I just wanted to say thanks for such a fun time! If you saw me i was the girl with the pink nose and navy and spotty dress! It was really fun!
Thanks again Circus Sensible! - Aleksandra aged 10, Holy Family School, Slough
Hi Clive,
Wayne was fantastic and we shall definitely be using him/yourself again. I have added all of your contact details onto our supplier database.
The event was a huge success and our clients (Apple) were extremely happy.
Kind regards, Charmaine Perrin, Senior Event Coordinator, Out Of The Office, Bristol, Avon
A big sunny thank you to you all! It was fantastic & you all worked really hard !
The 2 days with Circus Sensible were wonderful. On Friday the children had a fabulous time learning all the circus skills & watching the show. Saturday was our school fete day. The feedback so far from people is that it was the best yet!
The big top made a fantastic centre piece to the fete. The shows & workshops kept the crowds entertained throughout the day.
The balloon modelling was also a big hit too, nearly everyone had a fish or alien tucked under their arm as they left.
The weather was perfect & your team really entertained everyone & didn't stop until the very end.
Everyone left smiling & laughing & we raised a few pounds for our PTA funds too!
Thank you Circus Sensible I would recommend you to anyone & would certainly have you back again.
- Karen Harris - Chair PTA, Claverley School, Shropshire.
I don't think I ever got around to thanking you for providing Jay to entertain us and our guests at our wedding last september.
His mix of abilities was perfect for our day, and every one enjoyed his tricks and circus skills. I even managed to sneak away from the crowds for half an hour towards the end of his time and finally learnt some of the basics of contact juggling.
And as a warning to other potential brides; my husband made himself a balloon hat and proceeded to wear it for the rest of the day, speeches and all. Be prepared for this eventuality!
Thanks again, - Ellen Davies, Knutsford, Cheshire
I have never seen my children so engaged with anybody. I need to change my teaching style. They all absolutely loved it!
- Kerry Cottiss, Reception class teacher,St. Cuthbert’s Primary School, North Shields, Northumberland
Just wanted you to know what an amazing day both children and adults had on Wednesday, even with their embarrassments!
The children came back to class animated and there was a definite buzz about circuses, from both boys and girls. The peacock feathers are definitely a hit. The adults enjoyed the difference of the activity and the obvious exhilaration the children experienced.
Check out our website for photos www.st-catherines.org
Thank you again for your time and the lovely rapport you developed with the children.
Take care and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, fingers crossed for the weather! Weren’t we lucky!
- Rosalind Brock, St. Catherine’s School, Swindon, Berkshire Hi Clive
